Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups chicken broth

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Additional Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

Begin by placing the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker. Season them generously with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the seasoned chicken to enhance its flavor.

Next, add the minced garlic to the slow cooker, followed by the chicken broth, ensuring the chicken is mostly submerged in the liquid to promote even cooking.

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on the low setting for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours. The chicken is ready when it is incredibly tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

After cooking, carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded chicken back into the creamy broth mixture in the slow cooker.

Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken. Stir well to combine all ingredients thoroughly, allowing the heat to blend the flavors into a creamy sauce.

Break the fettuccine pasta in half and add it to the slow cooker, gently pushing it into the creamy mixture so that it is mostly submerged.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and cooked al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

Once the pasta has completed cooking, stir everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve the creamy chicken Alfredo pasta hot, garnished with a sprinkle of chopped parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese for a delightful finishing touch.
