Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup creamy almond butter

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup (for a vegan option)

1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

1/3 cup chocolate-flavored whey or plant-based protein powder

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

1/4 cup finely chopped almonds (reserve a few whole for garnish, if desired)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, shredded coconut, chocolate protein powder, and a pinch of sea salt. Use a whisk or fork to stir thoroughly, ensuring the dry ingredients are evenly blended.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate medium-sized bowl, combine the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix well until the ingredients form a smooth and creamy mixture.

Combine Blends: Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients bowl. Stir vigorously until everything is well incorporated and there are no dry patches left – don’t be afraid to use your hands if necessary!

Add Extras: Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped almonds, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture for a delightful crunch in every bite.

Form Balls: Using clean hands, take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball shape. Continue until all the mixture is transformed into approximately 12-15 protein balls.

Chill: Arrange the protein balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate them for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow them to firm up and hold their shape.

Serve & Store: Enjoy your delicious protein balls straight from the fridge, or store them in an airtight container for up to one week. You can also freeze any leftovers for longer storage, making sure to separate layers with parchment paper if stacking.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 12-15 balls

                  - Presentation Tips: For an appealing presentation, serve the protein balls in a decorative bowl, garnished with a sprinkle of shredded coconut and a cluster of whole almonds on top for added texture and style.
