Ingredients

4 medium russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

¼ cup green onions, chopped

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup diced tomatoes (optional)

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Begin by peeling the russet potatoes and slicing them into thin fry shapes. Strive for a thickness of about 1/4 inch for the perfect fry consistency!

Put the sliced fries into a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss them around thoroughly to ensure they are coated evenly.

Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the fries. Toss again until the fries are well seasoned.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes.

Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on your air fryer's capacity, you may need to do this in multiple batches.

Fry the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking and achieve a crispy finish.

Once the fries are golden brown and crispy, take them out of the air fryer and transfer them to an oven-safe dish or serving platter.

While the fries are still hot, generously sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon (if you’re using it), and diced tomatoes.

Return the loaded fries to the air fryer for an extra 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Take them out from the air fryer and add chopped green onions and fresh cilantro on top, if you wish.

Serve immediately with dollops of sour cream on top or alongside for dipping.
