Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast tenders

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (use panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup honey

2 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Cooking oil for frying (such as vegetable or olive oil)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken tenders under cold running water and gently pat them dry with paper towels. Season the tenders evenly with salt and pepper, ensuring they are well flavored.

Set Up the Breading Station: Prepare your breading station by arranging three shallow dishes. In the first dish, add the flour. In the second dish, whisk the eggs until fully combined. In the third dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Bread the Chicken: Take each chicken tender and first dip it into the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, immerse it in the egg mixture, letting any surplus egg drip back into the dish. Finally, coat the tender in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well. Repeat this process until all chicken tenders are breaded.

Prepare the Honey Dip: In a small mixing bowl, combine the honey, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well-integrated. Set this delicious dip aside.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, pour in enough cooking oil to cover the bottom with about 1/4 inch depth. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers, ideally around 350°F (175°C), which indicates it’s ready for frying.

Fry the Chicken Tenders: Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot skillet in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Once cooked, transfer the fried tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Serve: Arrange the crispy Parmesan chicken tenders on a serving platter, presenting them warm. Serve alongside your homemade honey dip, perfect for drizzling or dipping, enhancing the dish’s flavor.
