Ingredients

2 large russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup crumbled cooked bacon

½ cup sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup chopped green onions

Optional: fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Start by thoroughly rinsing the russet potatoes and then drying them with a clean kitchen towel.

Slice the potatoes into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick to ensure they cook evenly.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced fries with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, tossing until everything is evenly coated.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes.

Once the air fryer is heated, arrange half of the seasoned fries in the basket in a single layer for the best crispiness.

Fry the potatoes in the air fryer for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to promote even browning. They should turn golden and crispy.

While the initial batch is cooking, prepare the second batch by repeating steps 5-6 with the remaining fries.

After the second round is finished, transfer all fries to a serving platter.

Evenly distribute the shredded cheddar cheese over the warm fries, followed by the crumbled bacon and jalapeños.

Place the loaded fries back in the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese becomes melted and bubbly.

Carefully take the platter from the air fryer and drizzle sour cream over the top. Finish off with chopped green onions and cilantro if you choose.

Serve right away and savor your cozy Air Fryer Loaded Nacho Fries!
